You really have to do everything carefully in a pretty specific order to really make everything work and avoid damaging the paint, mainly in folding away the chest panels around the head and closing everything up for the vehicle mode. If you're doing everything right there aren't really any clearance issues especially with the chest panels. It also really helps to use the ab joint while transforming it just to help keep the upper body out of the way while you're closing up the legs.
If you're interested in taking steps protecting Spoiler's paint by the way I'd strongly suggest trimming or filing down the red circled area in the picture because it rubs on the thigh while folding the legs up, as well I'd put a piece of soft tape or something over the green circled area since that part of the leg fits over the crotch plate and can rub paint off too. Also wanna be careful when unfolding the feet because paint can chip off them if you let them bump against the hinge in front of them while they're folded, it's a good idea to put tape over that hinge too to protect the feet.
Not a bad figure, not even really fragile either, but boy are you in for a mess if you think you can get away with ham-handing it.
