but Lego probably thought the same thing about $100 sets at one point. is that too much for a toy? whoa! they are selling! let's try... $200? wow! who would have thought they would sell!? .... $300!!! $360!!!!
Lego must feel invincible at this point. it's almost insulting that they would even MAKE a $1000 set
but we have only ourselves to blame for falling for it.
Lego wanted that one big item at the arcade carnival, that you need 10,000 tickets to get, that nobody really expects to ever get. yet... Lego is SELLING those $300+ sets! it must be blowing their minds as much as it blows ours to see it in the store
the $1000 set will be "worth it" (piece count, "value", etc) and it WILL sell.
