I was originally going to apply it to the ribs of the wings and stabilizer but put too much onto the latter, and then messed it up by not using a damp Q-tip (it was dry). but I applied some to the wheel wells and closer to the exhaust of the engine; kind of difficult to see because most of the fuselage is black.
I actually had a lot of brush strokes and was regularly worrying about it, but as some other anon said, they sort of disappear once you put on a varnish. Other than that, I might go and get a few more oils to help with weathering. I'm still weighing whether or not to use some Mod Podge matte spray I bought at a crafts store a few months ago. I may just try it on a throwaway garbage kit and see how it looks.
>>8899018I was using the typical micro set/sol combo, that wasnt the issue though. For the first decal I don't think I soaked it in warm water for long enough, it was a real challenge getting it off the backing paper. the rest of the decals came off a lot easier though, left them in the water for about 10 seconds. they were pretty delicate decals so I had to be extra careful; I actually tore a few. I was lucky that this is technically my second Albatros kit, and had decals left over from the first one (which I never even managed to assemble, owing to the shitty mid-50s mold).
