>peg stands are preferable.However, museum putty and the like have been a go-to once I discovered that, because it's also helpful to fix damaged figures. Since I tend not to like paying full price for SOME things and also buy some older figures on the secondary market for aesthetic reasons and nostalgia reasons, I've had to work with some of the issues like missing joint pegs, idiots that glued figures once joint peg broke on them, etc.
The Terry and Dick of these DC Direct loose/second hand lot figures both have broken arms, but I am able to pose them with museum putty, for example.
