I'm mean at the same time they made IG we are suppose to believe this is the same guy that wore navy uniforms with a hood? Hell nothing about this look make me think it's a leader, let alone Cobra Commander, it looks like an updated Copperhead. At least with the 1991 version I can see elements of the original Commander like the battle mask, helmet, etc, but this guy could be anybody. So while I love more real sources I wouldn't bat an eye if the 87 catalog and up was just damage control from how bad the movie did and the teams were just taking molds and making shit up.
