>>10416408I know you need to lie that overpriced toys are overpriced because paint apps are done by professional hipster artists in Belgium making $200 per hour and not 12 year old bugmen or whatever rationalization you need to create in your head, but paint apps are literally pennies versus tens of thousands of dollars per mold.
Yes, the rules changed in around 2008 when the bugmen started rioting for better pay, but they didn't jump 10000% like you need to believe. If they did, cheapass companies like Mattel, Bandai and HAsbro would have quit using paint altogether.
Paint apps are done by illiterate bugmen still, same as when McFarlane Toys was making their beautiful McStatues, except they're a few fractions of a penny more per stroke vs fractions of a penny per color.
This is why some companies aren't charging an arm and a leg for beautifully done figures, for a lot less than JoyToy, but not much more than McFarlane.
Think of it like this, if paint were more expensive than the molding, why can companies like Papo make beautifully painted statueshit for $15, while a toy with 30+PoA costs $20?
Combine the two and it's literally a $30 toy. Pic has a ton of articulation on the tail, plus wings (sadly, just 4 PoA here), torso, legs, neck, and also a working mouth. Bigger and more articulated than McFarlane's GoT dragons, which were also beautifully painted.
Collector companies like Rebor charge around $20 for beautiful statueshit that are over a foot long too. Twenty bucks that outdoes most toys /toy/ talks about in paint.
Paint isn't as expensive as you want to pretend it is, but i know, you're a bugman employed by JoyToy and you need to make shit up to defend them.
