>>9724814I will say that she will not be the kit to start painting with. IMO the Dark Advent are hard mode/advanced mode even for mecha musume. A lot of organic shapes and skin, then transforming mecha on top of that. They are also pretty finicky. If your lust for chocolate slut queens still rules you after hearing this, ganbatte. I am doing a complete head to toe on her and fear it after the hell that was Rania (I have not painted Sophia but she’s sitting here glaring at me).
We don’t know what Isis’ boytoy will be like yet but I expect all the black detailing will need to be panel lined in and finished, maybe just with a brush. There is a middle ground between bare plastic and priming every millimeter and repainting it. My advice is, get one or two simpler and less expensive, less rare kits like some HG Gundams and paint them now. Then with that in mind, decide if you liked it and want to do more, or should leave Isis as-is. If you decide to upgrade her, stick to detailing, topcoats, maybe shade her skin with weathering pigment, do panel lining and missing colors. Rather than a total repaint. Her manual will have all the color mixes used btw.
