I didn't know there was a PG version but these guys are a bit bigger than I expected anyway, so I'm more than happy with just them.

Concerning the height issue, I do remember that it's all over the place in the anime so I remember them being around 50 meters tall.
Spending some time with it, the kit is very nice to look at but playing with it is a bitch.
As I mentioned before, the neck is poorly articulated, but that's not the real issue.
The shoulders can't move past maybe 60° vertically, and horizontal movement is only available through the ball joint.
Elbows can hinge about 45°.
The wrists are also awful to work with. The hands pop out so easily, it's impossible to hold a natural looking pose with the gatling gun, even the picture in the manual is awful.
Just find a nice pose with a weapon, make sure
