>>11172053It feels like there are no companies right now that I'd trust to handle the nuances of these sculpts. The kinda mushy-yet-realistic look of MGS1 is so distinctive to me, I wish there were someone who could do it justice. I don't believe any of the existing Japanese OR American lines I have in mind could manage it, looking at how they have handled similar material in the past.
To be honest, I would prefer low poly-style facesculpts to yet another shitty attempt to bring them into full realism. It's always so bad. I think the only one that doesn't drive me crazy is RevoMini Snake, and if I'm being picky, his face doesn't really resemble Snake either, it's just so small that I think it kind of works out ok. I do think the poseable eyes were a mistake though, his eyes are always in shadow in MGS1 so this makes them look too prominent.
