>>9496139It's fine. Just remember that it's a kid's movie with kid sensibilities. So just realize some of the thing Sonic does would be endearing to kids, but annoying to adults. Like when the main cop guy tells Sonic to lay low, Sonic instead goes into a biker bar and starts a bar fight. So it's probably best if you watch it with kids.
If you care about the creeping subversive elements in modern media, the only thing I can think of is the cop's girlfriend/wife/expository veternarian is black and he's white. It's a total "why did you do this other than to promote the race mixing agenda?" until the gang gets to San Francisco where we find that the black girlfriend has tropey loud, fatass black sister.
Carrey is great. Perfect interpretation of Eggman. Even after all these years of making indie films, he can still ham it up with gusto.
