Import charges are in addition to the customs duties and taxes imposed by country tax and customs officials.
And because the VAT tax is on the:
-the price paid for the goods
-postage, packaging and insurance
-any duty you owe
That makes it over the £39 threshold so I have to pay 20% VAT which would be an additional £8.
But I don't have to pay Custom duty:
Type and value of goods Customs Duty
Anything under £135 No charge
So final figure £48
Have I worked that out correctly?
I don't know if this Chopper is even worth that.
