I feel like a lot of artists looking for an action figure to draw are either poorly informed, or just kinda want an excuse to buy a cool toy. If you actually want to improve, go to life drawing sessions in your area, there is literally no substitute for an actual human model. You won't understand the way muscles move and strain or the ways skin stretches using a toy. For quick gestures and such, design doll will solve all your problems.
