This'll be a fun haul, though! Shipping everything is 7150JPY via EMS. Tried playing around with dividing it into smaller shipments but shipping everything together ends up the best cost/service balance due to how much the VF-1J costs to ship.
>>7305711Dang, sorry to hear that anon. I know exactly what you're talking about with the damage to the red vents, and I faintly recall there's some trick there to avoid it (like some piece needs to be slid outwards, but it always falls inwards as you're transforming so it's easy to miss). I always have a transformation tutorial video going whenever I transform the 19 because I'm terrible at remembering any of the steps.
You're probably feeling pretty put off by the DX Chogokin line in general right now, but the DX VF-31 series were great in terms of ease of transformation and simply being good toys. The DX VF-1J is also getting some pretty positive feedback about playability according to this touch-and-try report:
https://tamashii.jp/akiba_sr/?p=11125Going by Google Translate, people were given just 8 minutes with the figure yet nearly everyone was able to transform it in that time. Not a big surprise though, considering the relatively straightforward nature of the VF-1s transformation (which you're probably already familiar with on the Hi-Metals).
Definitely avoid the DX Sv-262; I hated that transformation so dang much.
And I know you prefer non-TFs, but I recently got the TF Studio Series Starscream and I love transforming that guy. Looks awesome in both modes to boot.
