My headcanon with Red Wing is that serving under Starscream's abusive, self-aggrandizing command was so humiliating that he deserted during the siege on the last Autobot stronghold, assisted in getting his former enemies onto the Ark, and in the chaos of the battle was shot down by both sides. Crippled, he was soon discovered by other Decepticons, imprisoned, and tried by the newly-formed DJD. His execution was legendary in its cruelty. He was a serious idealist whose judgment was clouded by Megatron's empty, often muddled promises of Cybertronian equality. He figured anything had to better than living under the rule of the Primes and the Decepticons represented the best chance for real change. He even stuck through when the movement began to glorify Megatron over all others. But Starscream, though... that shrill, pretentious, privileged, narcissistic, cowardly military academy brat was too much to suffer. How could anyone so self-serving offer anything to the common people of Cybertron?
This is all an elaborate excuse to include him in my display of all white-black-and-red Autobots and reinforce my deep revulsion for Starscream. Thank you for putting up with my long-winded post.
