I think the range is fine though I need to mess with it more to fully grasp it (I just posed it a little and got quick snap since I was busy).
It doesn't have any thigh swivel but it does have cut right above the knee to try to make up for it and one at the ankle, and even though it's only attached at the sides the seat can't move back and forth so there is no "ab crunch".
I don't own P-1000 but going off of picture I can say Kit is better articulated.
