I got Takara Kup a couple of weeks ago and loved it so much I needed to pick up the Hasbro version. Honestly, both molds of this figure are stellar. Yes the arms on the Hasbro version are kinda shit, but they make up for it by creating a much more cohesive vehicle mode. The double blasters are cool, even if they look a little shoddy from some angles, but I like them as a turret and it's cool they can make a jetpack. The gaudy toy/comic colors are kind of fun, too. And I feel like anyone who bitches about the Hasbro head sculpt has just never seen it in person. It's pretty great, and has tons of personality. Certainly beats out the Takara one. I really hope Takara does a future release of it in their color scheme like they did before.
Honestly, despite all the shitflinging that surrounded this figure, I think both Takara and Hasbro won. Whichever version you have, you've got a really fun toy, and they're so different that I think it's worth owning both.
