Goten and Trunks WERE protagonists in the final climatic chapter of DBZ. By the time they were on the scene, Blue was long forgotten. Even though Goten and Trunks haven't been given an opportunity in later DB material, people are BEGGING for them to be used more. Where are the chants for Blue? No where because he's a nothing. Toriyama probably forgot he ever existed.
Goten and Trunks never lost to 18. Mighty Mask was disqualified, not Goten and Trunks. They had her on the ropes, pissing her pants, scared out of her mind that they were going to humiliate her. So she used a dirty trick to end the fight against Mighty Mask.
I again will say that Trunks is a WORLD champion and Goten is a world champion finalist. Blue never accomplished anything on that level. He was a general, not even the top of his organization, let alone the world.
Canon or not, it shows how iconic Goten and Trunks were. They were the main characters of 3 movies. Broly 2nd Coming, Bio broly, and Yo Son Goku Friends return. All profitable and incredibily high quality films. Guldo never had a movie. You know who else never had their own movie? Blue. He's below Guldo tier. Guldo at least has his pose. What does Blue have? What statue could be made of him? Nothing. He's a bit guy. Goten and Trunks are A-list DB characters who deserve Figuarts, probably more than any other character in this franchise.
