Whenever wedges were sold vinyl switch pins were also sold as well, small ribbed cannister cylinders that served the same kind of purpose as pvc switch pins.
All other vinyl, like rigs and armodocs etc, all came with holes precut.
The cutting was cool though, it showed that you could shape vinyl into basically anything you wanted and tried to help break people out of their attitudes about keeping things perfectly mint. You can do some really neat stuff with vinyl, but you can do some *crazy* stuff if you decide to make attachment points wherever you want.
