Just images of plastic toys in a void does not encourage reposing because it looks like promo images. But having a hand holding the toys makes it feel "casual" and spontaneous, which is the whole point of Instagram. Of course it's all an act, but the algorithm doesn't know or care.
Same reason why youtube encourages deadeyed smiles and reviewers facing the screen- they want you to SEE there's human beings you're interacting with, to substitute real, in person interaction.
