The arms on the old kit were stuck at 90 degrees and couldn't swivel, so even if Bandai pulls a Tristan and reuses the old Kapool's engineering for the arms it's still a brand new mold just to change the angle they're positioned at. The blue armor segments on the HGBD's arms are also noticeably thinner and longer than on the 1/144 Turn A's.
