I'm not a diehard fan by any stretch so forgive the lack of proper names, but including the mad scientist's house and not actually including the mad scientist is silly. I also wouldn't have chosen the... mayor's office? instead of something like the tree/door to christmastown, but I guess it's a more interesting build on its own. And yeah the three kids without their masks is odd, but including them and not their boss feels wrong.
I wouldn't be so critical if this wasn't hundreds of dollars but if you want that kinda money you can't be putting out what frankly amounts to a few setpieces that almost feel like sidebuilds to a larger set that doesn't exist. Or if I'm being less generous, sidebuilds to a collection of minifigs for people to scalp on bricklink.
The immediate comparison to comes to mind is the Hocus Pocus set and like, I've never seen that movie outright, so maybe it's also missing important things, but as an outsider looking in it feels pretty solid as a standalone set. Still overpriced but that's just how Ideas sets are I guess.
