>>11381086The Sunbow show already had sequels/continuations, they're called JP-G1, Beast Wars, and JP-BW + Car Robots. And Transformers has never been a franchise interested in retconning its own media out of existence, so the things you could do with "a sequel to Sunbow" are extremely limited (especially since the og show itself has so little lore or continuity to care about, or it was so bad that it was eventually replaced by comics lore anyway).
A smarter idea would be to finally do a proper animated adaptation of the comics. Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW-1 could theoretically all have stories directly ripped from them and presented in the same continuity, with some creativity.

Either way, we don't need that sort of retro animation; it's nothing but a gimmick. The G1 designs could be portrayed just fine in regular artstyles that don't go outta their way to look like old cheap TV, and look great.
