New star wars isn't bad because "woke", it's bad because it's been purchased and mismanaged by a corporation that should have already known how to manage an IP that valuable. Star Wars is a perfect example of how you should pick for yourself what is "canon" when you're dealing with franchises managed by a revolving door of people with their own idea of what it should be. You can just ignore the sequels or the prequels, or the random series they make, it's all just fiction. You can choose what fake things are faker.
