It's just shitty that Randy gave a pretty weak argument for why they chose the colors they did. They're even packaged wrong. The lives/medals represent player 1 and player 2, and yet red guy is under blue medeals and blue guy is under red medals.
I think they're either trolling or they didn't realize their fuckup until it was too late and still went ahead with the production run.
