Because if a white person creates a black doll, then he makes it not black enough.He does not make it authentic, dishonest, and just plain stereotyped. Small palette of skin colors, few clothing styles. Usually, white people make only two kinds of black dolls, either dressed in rapper outfits or completely whitewashed. I think big companies like Mattel are obliged to hire POC designers to create authentic POC dolls.
The same goes for asian, arabic and latin dolls.
You asking if non-white people can make white dolls? Absolutely. Because we are bombarded by the white people's lifestyle from all the media. Games, movies, advertising, music. Even if you are not white, you absolutely know exactly how white people live, how they talk, look, what they are interested in, what they eat, how they dress ect.
