Hasbro already stated why they went up in price, because everything else went up in price. They're a penny pinching business, hence also reusing molds far more than McFarlane does and usually to a detriment to the character.
Whereas Todd McFarlane shows his hand in most matters about his company, including the fact that they're making collector toys and that will always cost more their children toylines.
Again, no matter the company, collector toys will always be more expensive just because they're produced in 5-100x fewer quantities.
When Hasbro does that, their figures jump in price 2x vs McFarlane's 50% (or did they increase the price of their childrens lines from $20 already?).
Can you believe this limited articulated figure costs $20? Or should i be posting one of their SDCC exclusives which are usually just redecos, like the 3.75" Krrsantan that costs $40?
