>>10942708>CoD wasn't as bad cuz it's so generic, other than some named characters who are pretty generic in themselves and a few game-specific sets it did well as a military linewell, yeah, at first. back when the most recent games were bo2 and mw3. I was referring to when aw onwards came in. from 2011-2018, we went from modern to slightly futuristic to even more futuristic to futuristic cyber horror to space to ww2. it didnt have a consistent identity in terms of artwork, which didnt lend well to the toy line which basically had to rebrand every year. even halo, with all the artstyle changes 343 made, didnt change that wildly in such a little amount of time.
>If they started up a new military line without a license it would probably do alright, though it's hard to say with brand recognition driving everything these days.well, they did, kind of. adventure force was from I want to say 2014 or something. now, granted, it was not the awesome stuff the cod line had. But if they did do that, they would just wound up competing with themselves.
yeah, mistakes were made. but with that being said, now that mega doesnt do cod anymore, maybe they can try starting their own military themed line again? and this time with the cool gear and stuff? its an idea.
