>>6496311>This means nothing. None of the Phantoka/Mistika masks look like Nuva masks.They're not as heavy as they should have been, but the similiaries are there, just very subtle. Compare the two Miru (Phantoka and Axalara version) to the Miru 01 and the Miru Nuva respectively and you'll see there was some inspiration that made it to the final masks. Same for Pohatu's mask/masks in 2008. The Hau kind of imitated the samurai look (even though it looked awful), and the Akaku at least had the eyescope. You can tell they wanted to homage the Mata and Nuva but got cucked by muh focus groups.
But the Pakari and the Kaukau? Absolutely nothing. There's not a single thing in them that resembles the original masks. I would go as far as to say they were originally meant for completely different characters.
