Multi-color injection is only relevant for multi-colored kits with a lot of parts. Most military kits even if they use multiple colors (Fujimi snapfit ships) have very few colors and very few non-gray parts.
Pre-molded joints are only relevant for jointshit, which most military kits are not.
On the other hand companies like Tamiya and FineMolds improved the level of detail in their molds over the years to the point way beyond Bandai, yet no one says that Bandai has shit detail. That's because Bandai subjects don't have intricate surface detail to begin with.
TL;DR different subjects = different needs, improvements that make sense for one do not necessarily make sense for the other.
