>>8297820In the case of that picture that is actually just a rectangle of patterned cloth I bought from a local craft chain. Really, you can use anything as a floor as long as your stuff won't fall over on it.
Only real advice I'd say is whatever floor you use, make sure whatever 'patterns' are on your floor don't look oddly sized compared to whatever subjects are standing on it.
