Sculpts are 100% already there. Paint? There's already a lot of beautifully painted figures, but not the face.
Either way, it's more than possible to paint a 1:18 figure as good as 1:12 figures, but they just don't.

I think the closest we've gotten for a perfect paint job is the Lost Planet line, but for whatever reason, the faces were all imperfect. The bodies are exact, with super fine details than the faces would ever get, yet someone ham handed the face spray apps.
