As for my silly conspiracy, what you mean? There is no extra developing joints and sculpt fees since the joints are all premade now and Yamaguchi comes up with completely new sculpts every figure. What's the difference? Starting a whole new thing with soft goods are extra costs that were not there before. And one cloth cape design will not likely work for every AY sculpt so it's just an extra ordeal at this point. They fixed the plastic material problem after Magneto, using ABS plastic for Batman. Batman had to have that crazy do everything cape which made all the pieces straight non-fabric looking sculpt. Wonder Woman was just a sold small piece so doesn't matter. Superman is the only NORMAL cape we got, ABS plastic (I assume) with fabric-like sculpt. So I think we can't yet make judgement on the standard articulated cape of AY. Unless people absolutely hate how it looks straight up. Double S of the back is weird though.
