>>9377080>>9377082What did Marvel Prime do wrong? He lost his temper like a normal person pic related, grumbling about Dinobots I think before he fakes his own death so the Autobots can learn how to be less reliant on him) or made some mistakes, but I don't think there was anything that made him deserve what IDW Prime got.
It might partly be subversion or just creativity to try and depict an otherwise wholesome or even infallible character as flawed and imperfect, but that can go too far the other way. And if you're coming from a "patriarchy bad" mindset as a writer, it's probably going to be even worse.
>>9377094>>9377101I'm storytiming Regeneration One, and it's a near-constantly dreary and dark series. The loose ends from Marvel US are tied up, but said loose ends are mostly evil characters that weren't properly vanquished. Arguably Optimus should have killed them dead, even the Megatron-Ratchet abomination, and he and everyone suffers because of it. But despite it all, the series doesn't really blame or shit on Optimus nor does it beat you down with or end on "everything dies nothing matters" note. When the day is darkest, hope shines strongest.
>>9377105>>9377109Soupman's super-ness is not his powers but rather his heart. Writers and fans who shit on him don't seem to get that. Injustice is a neat elseworlds concept, but it's not really a great thing to try to do with every wonderful character in the main continuity, for the sake of creativity.
>>9377121What? But rumours say core for just Ratchet
>>9376147>Wheelie will be packed twice>already an unpopular character, but now he's even more guaranteed as a shelfwarmer aka clearancerNo reason not to get him at this point.
