autistic headcanon time: since Beast Machines reused some Ark models for Cybertronian civilians, my headcanon is that Cybertronians often use designs based of famous G1 heroes. So years in the future you'll see tiny cybertronian reproductions of 80's cars and aircraft zipping around.
This sort of fits in with Transformers being Earth popculture junkies in general, and how IRL a lot of fashion is dictated by famous figures.
