Like with most forums, people stopped using it for whatever reason.
BTW, did you know there were hundreds and even thousands of fansites back in the day? Filex deCobray's site was the best, where he had dozens of dioramas featuring hundreds of figures doing things like Cobra figures hanging out in a remote air strip, working on their planes, groups of pilots crowding Wild Weasel sharing a story and GI Joes sneaking up on two guards patrolling the perimeter.
Back then, there were hundreds of collectors who put in waaay more effort into displaying their collections and dioramas (which i foolishly believed their sites would be up forever, so i didn't save anything) than you see today and it made stuff like this look like shit.
What happened to those people or their photos? Most disappeared and those that are still around lost their images, because they also believed their fansites would be up forever.
