So, I did some updates to my 1/18 General Hawk this week. Head swap, new helmet and marauder hands, but I think one of the most significant changes is that I did a wash and drybrush on his jacket. I am not planning on doing overly shaded and painting joes for my customs although the leather jacket really needed it, especially since this figure is notorious for having mismatched color for the arms. I didn't even have to paint over them with a base brown coat, the wash and drybrush brought everything in-line with where it should be. I got to use latex liquid mask for the first time to protect his badges and it worked well. I also sealed it so it's still "playable." I had to cut off the epaulettes and jacket collar to actually do the paint job but gluing them back on later was easy enough.
