>>9530151This is a terrible take and just shows how uneducated you are on the subject. Not only is it incorrect due to the fact that plenty of Cold War tanks saw peer to peer combat in the Korean War, Vietnam War and various Slav regional conflicts on top of African bushwars and Middle Eastern wars all the way up to modern times, between near peer nations. (I don't even know how you could think this when the T-54/55 is the most produced tank on Earth and saw combat against it's match-up, the M48/M60 plenty of times). But also conveniently leaves out the shitload of interesting history and technology behind so many Cold War tanks, to you the uninitiated you just look at a T-62 and T-64 and see the same tank but to me I see them and feel excited knowing that the T-64 was the first autoloader tank ever made.
And sure you can say
>The history behind it being interesting doesn't matter its just a modelWell I can make the same argument about your beliefs, why does a Tigers KDR matter when it's just a model?
I do agree that modern (post 1980) tanks are kinda boring and samey but writing them off as never having seen combat is dumb too considering Slav tanks saw plenty of action in various regional conflicts.
