No need for movin kneepad, all they had to do was move the hinge point a bit higher and forward and maybe have a bit of extra plastic from the hinge hidden inside the lower leg to fill the gap when its. A double hinge would be perfect, even if it meant slight grooves in the back of the leg it would look better.
Just look at pic related made by the same fucking company with similar leg proportions(i just bent the top knee hinge to)
