>>10190591It's literally a rehash of the first one. I thought it was disappointing desu, the first one was pretty cool in my opinion and had some interesting concepts and a neat setting. The second one didn't really do anything to expand on it except introduce Jakes kids who were pretty shallow as characters. It doesn't help that the previous movie had a fairly decent mix of human and navi characters but in this one the only real human characters are the one single boat full of space whalers who basically only exist to be fodder for the movies mandatory final showdown.
>>10191481Yeah I really enjoyed how they fleshed out Quatrich more in this movie, made him less of a caricature and more human. I doubt James Cameron will give him a redemption arc though.
