>>10008059>My childhood was relatively stable before I hit 11 and it all it went to shitSame here. My parents had me switched to advanced classes midway through 4th grade because my teachers thought I wasn't being challenged enough. Lost all my friends since I never saw them anymore, new students I was with had all known each other for years and disliked me. I dropped from a straight A student to a C average, and my academic career and social life never really recovered. I ended up diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety in my early twenties and I've been improving since then, but it still sucks that pretty much every good memories I have from my childhood after a certain point are all tied to the goofy video games and toys I had. Saving my lunch money week after week to head to the mall or TRU and buy a new action figure, a GBA game, or packs of Yugioh cards was pretty much the only thing that kept me going back then
