There are 2 versions, Ric Shonen version, which is translucent plastic with silver paint underneath that makes the red streaks pop up more, and the standard version which is classic red plastic underneath the black paint.
Most people prefer the standard version because the red brightness and overall color is more accurate. Still, there's a chance you may need to apply some slight dry brush with some rubber black paint if you get one that's a little too red for your taste, but it's an extremely easy fix.
