Maybe it's the guy posing him but ankle pivot still hasn't been applied to Star Platinum and they dropped the bicep swivel for the ball jointed shoulder to keep the sculpt. They did include the jointed shoulder pads from SPIV and dropped the hinged neck to make for a more cohesive look but articulation doesn't seem to be the major point for SAS BIG but better sculpt and larger scale.
High quality I'm sure of though so paintwork should be on point at this scale.
