Still, inserting parent group agendas into that shit is retarded. DEA stuff? That's fine, since the military has been involved in drug wars since forever (for and against). Megamarines fighting monsters? I guess, but the lime greens and pastels were a bit too extreme. Starwhatevers? Would have been cooler it actually looked like the former space designs instead of the almost form fitting suits.
I mean, loook at this fucking attention to detail. Cutting edge power armor in the 80s. That touch of futurism, in what is otherwise realistic. Shit like this is what keeps GI Joe popular, because it's identifyable by even people who have no idea what GI Joe is. Too much sci fi and it's forgotten about relatively quickly, just like the Star Brigade.
