I'm aware I'm late to the party here, but I just built Beyond Global and I think it's ruined HGs for me. There are so many clever design decisions here that looking at other recent HGs just frustrates me. Why can't Bandai employ this kind of engineering to their entire line? It's there, it's discovered, they can use it--but they don't. I am so frustrated. I want to build more MS on this level. Even small things like the hinged back skirt don't use any more plastic than the usual pegged ones, and finally fix an age-old issue with HGs.

There are only two things keeping this kit from perfection: the ankle rockers are mediocre (somewhat mitigated by the AMAZING back and forth hinge), and the chest had amazing potential for crunch, but they limited it by design. Yeah, it woulda been gappy, but that's a solvable issue, and besides, I'd take gappy over poor articulation any day.

It was like 15 bucks dude, that's like eating out for one meal. Just let it go. Bandai offered a wide range of shit for people to pick from this past year or two in terms of RX-78s, and not every one is going to do it for everyone. Hell, most people hated on the G40 and you loved it.

Personally, I like the Beyond Global because the sculpt feels very much like a tribute to SCM EX, which I used to collect back in the day.
