They were great at the time but a lot of them look like weird marionettes by modern standards. Many had loose joints out of the box and I've had several that just crumbled over the years. I think they were pushing the line past the limits of the technology that existed in the 2000s.
What series of Toy Biz is /toy/'s favorite? My vote goes to Series 4. Aside from a somewhat wonky Elektra (which, again, at the time was an amazing achievement to have a female figure with such articulation), Beast, Gambit, and Punisher are still the best examples for those characters in the six inch scale. I don't particularly like Beast or Punisher as characters and I despise Gambit, but damn, this is some good work. Goliath is the weakest since he's just a rework of an old Giant Man, but he showed Toy Biz's commitment to expanding the line's horizons and besides, he was a chase figure and nobody ever found those back then anyway.
