Meanwhile new chug figures are better engineered and are getting to where they look like tiny MP figures. Hound and Sideswipe are great examples of this.
I actually just got in the Nonnef Productions add-on kit for Siege Hound, and it makes him a pretty definitive figure for the character if you don't care about him turning into a 100% accurate earth vehicle. It gives him the missile for his cannon and his G1 gun, along with some extra clips that add articulation to the cannon, so it can aim up and down and side to side with ease. I ordered the kit for Sideswipe also, since that figure's almost perfect and at first glance almost looks like the MP, just without his correct shoulder cannon and gun. The new kit gives you both of them.

For example Ironhide in G1 had tiny little bitch pistols that he used, but his Siege figure has a giant sort of rocket launcher looking weapon. I ended up giving him a gun from this kit, which resembled the generic autobot guns that some of the characters used in the cartoon, so he could have a bitch pistol too:
