Honest question, why do people rate "muh Jim Lee" X-men so much? Honestly 90s X-Men were the beginning of the end. Claremont did 3 issues with Jim Lee, and then the rest of the storyline were slow decline towards obscurity. All the classics, God Loves Man Kills, Phoenix Saga, Brood Saga, Days of Future Past, etc occurred under the Giant X-Men design. Nightcrawler, penis head Cyclops, brown wolverine, leotard Storm, Colossus. Those are the main X-men mainstays, not nu-jabronies like Gambit, Psylocke, etc.
Not sure why Jim Lee is so popular, he's a good artist but not an exceptional artist per say. Most of the stories in the 90s are time traveling, multi book convoluted continuity mess. Is it because 90s crossover with Capcom, the Konami beat'em up or the animated series?
