>>10521727Are you being serious? It's cause it's playline shit, and stuff like that benefits from ergonomic ways to play with it. Just like the handle on the mothership from Lightyear. These aren't super accurate collectibles to display on a shelf, they're for kids to whoosh around.
It's not new either, I remember this stuff happening even back in the 90s. Anyone else remember that TMNT jet with the handle underneath? Or even the Turtle Blimp, which was designed with a handle in back (it was even drawn into the cartoon that way).
