Try using a different way of achieving the metallic effect of the tracks, you'll find the real things are usually a dull rusty/grey/black with some polished highlights from wear. Best way to emulate that is apply the same sequence of fisnishes.
I use "dark tracks" from MIG as the base, then add rust wash around the articulating pins, rub off excess and then bring out the metallic highlights with dry brushing.
