Because Megatron was always INTENDED to be silver, or at least chrome. Being grey was always just a limitation of the medium - silver/chrome isn't really a color so much as it is a lustre, which is a quality that's not easy to replicate on paper.

He literally is supposed to be silver - the original toy that he's based off of was silver, and his P38 alt mode comes in silver as an option (as well as a few other colors - but grey isn't one of them).

You don't even know what soul means zoom zoom. Pic related is pure SOUL, it encompasses everything that is Megatron. A bucket head, silver colours, an arm cannon and generally looking evil. Armada is a fucking joke in comparison, has none of the design elements that make Megatron and looks like it belongs in Rescue Bots that is further kiddified.
